Who receives my data?
As a rule, your data is not passed on to third parties. Should disclosure of your data (for example your IP address) be necessary in order to fulfil particular purposes, we explain the procedure and the legal basis for each individual case below.
Are cookies used?
Cookies are pieces of information that we send to the browser on your device during your visit to our website, where they are then stored. We use cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of our website. Other cookies enable us to carry out various analyses (non-essential cookies). We set these cookies on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How is my data processed in detail?
Providing the website
When you access our website, we collect the personal data that your browser automatically transmits to our server (IP address, date and time, and similar information recorded in log files).
Identifying companies at organisation level
We operate our own procedure, hosted on our own servers, to determine which companies visit our website. Its sole purpose is to attribute a visit to an organisation – not to identify individual people. No cookies are set and no information is stored on your device.
We process the IP address, the time of access, the page accessed and, where transmitted, the referring page. From the IP address we determine the company to which the address range is assigned. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in addressing business customers according to their needs.
Where an address range cannot be attributed using publicly available registries, we transmit the IP address to Elaunira SARL (“Ipregistry”, Antibes, France), which processes it in a data centre in Germany. No transfer to countries outside the European Union takes place. We delete visit data after twelve months; data that could not be attributed to a company is deleted considerably sooner. You may object to this processing at any time – we will then permanently exclude the IP address concerned from the analysis.
What rights do I have?
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
